Utensils most suitable are dark, to absorb heat. Recipes tailored to solar cooking include breads, vegetables, grains and beans, casseroles, meat, poultry, fish and desserts. Some of the helpful tips are cooking in plastic bags, making pizza at noon so the oven can stay flat, and making chili rellenos on a rainy day.
