Book excerpt: This issue of The Ministry of the Word contains the first nine messages given during the fall 2002 term of the full-time training in Anaheim, California. The general subject of this series of messages is "Christ and the Church in the Psalms." These messages are the continuation of the unveiling of the economy of God concerning Christ and the church in the Psalms. Four words summarize the central thought of the book of Psalms--Christ, house, city, and earth. The Psalms reveal Christ as a church-loving, church-building, and church-supplying Christ. As the great Shepherd of the sheep, He leads us into the church, the house of God, and we enjoy God in the house of God. The church as the house needs to be strengthened and enlarged to become the city, which signifies the kingdom where God the King rules with His authority.
