In the Cicindelidae, for instance, this would have exalted some recently described forms by comparison. We have endeavored in such cases to indicate their relation to previously described species. In the case of certain catalogues and revisions printed in Europe, ignorance Of American species has caused a few evident errors which we have not followed. But as a general rule, we have not attempted to review the work for six years Of 213 authors, a manifestly impossible task.
