As Sergeant Uri journeys through this new wasteland, she runs into a reluctant and hostile academy, a group of beings known as the "Caretakers," who have taken on the task of restoring the Earth, as well as a being Uri simply refers to as the Shadow, when she is unable to make out its features throughout most of her journey.
