This system is what is des ignated by the third sense of the term equity. And it created certain rights, not recognized at law, but consti tuting the specific grounds upon which applications for equitable relief are based. These rights are known as equitable rights or equities, and the fourth sense in which the word is used is that which it bears when em ployed to designate such a concrete equitable right.
