This is the story of a boy who began preaching when he was 11, pastored his first church at 15 and was ordained in the United Methodist Church at 24. His brother told him that people said back then, "He will die young." Well he didn't die young. It is now 70 years later. Thanks to a scrap book kept by Dr. Waynick's mother all this history is documented through the time he graduated from Paoli High School, Paoli, Indiana. Dr. Waynick has BA, MDiv, ThM and PhD degrees. The latter from Temple University. The book covers a span of 70 years from the boy preacher, inner city pastor, director of metropolitan ministry, consultant, teacher and writer. Dr. Waynick seeks to get reacquainted with that 11 year old boy and how that calling to preach has never faded.
