The challenge of using an interesting story while installing her own experiences of mania and depression (now called Bi-Polar Chemical Imbalance) are specifically used to give understanding and remove the mentally ill out of the stigma of the attic, once used to hide the weird members of the family.Believing God has given her the task of advocacy for others like herself, Judith walks in faith and includes support through such actions as public speaking with the auspices of NAMI and DBPA, leading support groups, classes for Family to Family and Peer to Peer, and confronting hospital board meetings which decided they no longer needed room for the mentally ill. When ignored, she used the local newspaper to report what she believed to be the misuse of hospital funding. Losing the battle gave her greater determination for the cause. Judith now resides in Colorado.
