Features in the United States include modification of the gated outlet structure at the existing Lake Darling Dam for flood control; mitigation to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for project-related impacts; compensation to adversely impacted properties in reaches impacted by project operation in North Dakota and Manitoba; and a water control plan to release flood storage safely downstream.
