The weather was ideal for the occasion. By 9 O'clock in the morning the Old Settlers began gathering at the cabins in the City Park. When the dinner hour arrived the seating capacity at the tables was insufficient and at least one-third of the crowd enjoyed a real Old-fashioned picnic dinner on the grass. Coffee was furnished free by the Association, Mr. Frank Luse and Mrs. Horton dispensing five large boilers Of coffee.
