Book excerpt: As a result of new legislation, the Water Code was amended in October 1991 to require UWMPs to include an Urban Water Shortage Contingency Plan. This plan is to be submitted to the California Department of Water Resources by January 31, 1992. Appendix A of that report contains the text of the Act and its October 1991 amendment. This document is designed to satisfy the requirements of that amendment by supplementing the EBMUD February 1991 UWMP with this contingency plan.
