Book excerpt: To have substantial development in elite level competitions, players necessitate a considerable development in physical as well as psychological potentials. Whereas At the beginning phase of an athlete’s professional career, his performance will be highly influenced by his physical capacities. Moreover, in elite level competitions, the player will have nearly the same level of physical fitness, technical quality, and tactical knowledge but athletes significantly differed in psychological characteristics (Graham, 2011). Generally, in training coaches used to give more stress on the physical preparation of athletes. Perhaps in every training plan, there will be a specific slot for developing the groundwork for each physical component. However, it is exceptional to find a space for psychological training in the overall training plan. Such circumstances underline the lack of scientific temperament in coaching.
