Bosnia and Herzegovina has a rich history that dates back to the Roman Empire. In the late 20th century, the country was part of Yugoslavia before gaining independence in 1992. Following independence, the country experienced a devastating war that lasted until 1995. Since then, Bosnia and Herzegovina has become a democratic nation with a mixed economy, although it still faces challenges related to political instability, corruption, and ethnic tensions. Despite these challenges, the country remains a popular destination for tourists interested in its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and historic landmarks.
