Book excerpt: Excerpt from Annual Report of the Municipal Officers of the Town of Caribou, Maine: For the Year Ending February 20, 1941 I have examined all of the 713 warrants issued during the year, and find them to have been officially authorized, bearing the signatures of at least two of the Selectmen and in most cases all of them or two of the board and the Town Manager. All disbursements have been made by check except the road payrolls which are paid in currency put up in envelopes. In this case the payroll is signed by the payee when he receives his money.
