A group-size analysis was conducted by aggregating data from the original sample. Results demonstrate the usefulness of evaluating several measurable dimensions of running away, and highlight the benefits of including duration-based measures and correcting for opportunity. However, results suggest that treatment evaluations may only be possible via an analysis of groups of runners rather than individual subjects. Several conceptual implications related to the assessment and treatment of runaway youth are discussed.
